About the painting:
This watercolor painting was dedicated to my Grandma rose for her 80th birthday. Her favorite bird is the Painted Bunting, which was my favorite bird as a kid. I still remember looking at these Painted Buntings in the Audubon book in my dad’s office when I was a little girl. I would sneak in to look at the book, because he did not want me handling it and accidentally tearing the pages since I was so young. But I was very careful. I was enamored because I could not believe a single bird could have so many colors.
